Hi guys, we have reservations for the evening of the 5th and 6th at Waterloo State Recreation area. Please check that link for full details. AltonJackson has made a sub rosa visit to the cabin and reports that it is 100%, totally, in every way, probably not built over a cursed Indian burial ground. That's all I need to hear!
Please use this thread to RSVP down below with numbers of attendees (including kids and pets and pet kids), what day you plan on stopping by, and whether you're planning on staying one or more nights. Thanks!

I'll be there by 6-ish Friday night for the whole weekend.
Same...
...maybe a little later than six, if I have to check in or collect the key or whatever. Interested in heading out to the park this Saturday? My schedule's clear.
Hey all,
I'll be there at some point. Flying back from NM the night of the 5th. Somehow I missed this whole thing, until a friend mentioned it a couple weeks ago. thus I scheduled a trip for that week.
It seemed to come as a shock for those who are part of the numerous Ace groups on fuckerspace. Guess I need to read the left sidebar sometime, huh?

Gah, it took me forever to remember to get back here and say hi. Sorry about that, man!
AltonJackson and I checked out the site today (15 September) and got lunch at Smokehouse 52. Not sure if you've been around the Saturday threads, but it looks like we'll be there Friday night, hang out at the campsite as people drift in on Saturday (though people are certainly welcome to come Friday and stay over too), and then head ten minutes over to Chelsea for dinner in town with people like cfo mom who might not feel like being outdoors. Then, after dinner, Moronvoy back to the cabin for a bon
firewolf and people can stay over if they'd rather not drive home that night.Hope to see you there! Thanks for checking in.
Hey. Sounds like a good time. I'm in Warren, so I'll be making some kind of arrangements... my friend, who alerted me to this whole thing, lives in Milford. Unfortunately, he's having emergency surgery, hopefully today, for a nerve impingement in his neck. Not sure whether he'll be able to make it (I hope so).
But somehow or 'tother, I'll make it.

I'm 95% sure I'm coming up and will spend Sat afternoon/evening with you fine folks. I'm bringing a friend that should fit right in, I've hunted with him for 30 years so know him well. How many on board?
Should I bring anything?
forgot to mention I'll be staying with friends nearby and they'll look after my dog, so I don't need accommodations.
Sounds good, hope to see you there. As far as what to bring, just whatever you'll want with you during the day, if you'll be staying with friends overnight. So, whatever food and drink you'll want (we'll have a grill) or you can plan to duck over to Chelsea for food. Folding camp chairs would be handy, if you've got any; there are picnic tables but it's always nice to have a decent chair.
The plan for Saturday is Smokehouse 52 in Chelsea for dinner so we can accommodate people who might want to visit for a bit but not stay over or spend much time outside. In no particular order, we'll have me, AltonJackson, Mikey NTH and you and your friend for almost-certain. Some have indicated that they'll try to get there but nothing for sure. Others have said they'll be at the restaurant Saturday but not at the site . I can't speak for anyone, of course. If absolutely everyone shows up, we'll probably be at around a dozen.
Gotta talk to Mr sinmi for his buy-in on specifics. but I expect we'll do at least a Sat bonfire and hopefully the Smokehouse.
It is pawpaw season at Chateau Sieur de Sinmi, so we'll bring several when we come. Those who are interested in picking up your own pawpaws can come during open u-pick hours Sunday 12 - 6. 10032 W Ellsworth Rd, Ann Arbor (approx 3 miles due north of Pleasant Lake)-
Hiya!
I'll add two to the reservation for Saturday just in case. Thanks for confirming, we'll see you this weekend!
